Established in 1953, the company provided telecommunications services including Broadband Internet and local and long-distance telephone to residents of Central Montana.
Triangle Telephone Cooperative is a company owned by its members. The cooperative was incorporated on March 24, 1953 in Havre, Montana by rural residents of Central Montana and has since made its way to many other communities in Montana, including Sweet Grass County.
Triangle Communications provides telecommunications services including Broadband Internet and local and long-distance telephone to residents of Central Montana. Their 17,000+ subscribers live in parts of 16 counties from the Canadian to the Wyoming border over 23,000 square miles.
Triangle Communications supports Montana’s communities, businesses, and area youth with various scholarships, grants and loans to help keep this area thriving. The company is a major supporter of education, offering not only scholarships and grants, but various technology training programs as well as a teacher appreciation program and multiple youth programs.
Aside from donating their resources to the Sweet Grass County Community, Triangle Communications is set to improve the Big Timber area significantly in the next few years with a goal to provide fiber optic internet to subscribers.
